While that Pokémon is in the PokéWalker, you can only get one Pokémon of those three Groups. To try for another Pokémon, you need to remove the Pokémon and put it back in. If you put in a Pokémon of one of the three listed types, the steps required for the Pokémon and items is reduced by 25%.
How do I unlock all the possible routes on the Pokéwalker?
All the possible Pokéwalker routes are listed to the right. Some are only avilable through Wi-fi events so may be unavailable at this time. Each route requires a certain number of Watts on the Pokéwalker to unlock, with 8 routes available pre-National Dex and 12 after you obtain the National Dex (after beating the Elite Four and Champion).

When a Pokéwalker is synced with a new game, the language of the Pokéwalker will change to match that game. For example, if a Pokéwalker that came with a Japanese game is synced with an English game, after syncing, the Pokéwalker will be in English.
